The 4th Annual Playhouse Project Benefit Concert
Regarding the recipients of this year's Elizabeth Brockman Awards in Classical Music, Artistic Director Geoffrey Simon instructed the crowd, "Talent does need help to flower." Four winners were selected from among more than 50 teenage participants in the Brockman Master Classes the month prior, all local high school students.
------The Award for "Promise" -- Luis Murillo
------The Award for "Excellence" -- Julia Pucci
------The Award for Composition -- Nell Shaw Cohen
------The recipient of a voice class with mezzo-soprano Barbara Conrad -- Holly Goldstein
------Honorable Mentions -- Cedric Hubert, Davis King and Kyle Lamprecht
The concert was followed by a buffet reception with the artists and prize winners.
