Maestro Simon, assisted by the Master Class Panel, will select this year's student winners of the Elizabeth Brockman Award in Music. One award for Excellence and one award for Promise will be made, with each recipient receiving a prize of $1,000. At the discretion of Maestro Simon and the Panel, several Judges Awards of $250 each may also be awarded.
The awards presentation will take place at the 6th Annual Playhouse Project Benefit Concert on Saturday, June 12th from 6pm to 9pm. Winning artists will perform at the concert on the same bill with dazzling 22-year old violinist, Hahn-Bin, winner of this year’s First Prize at the YCA International Auditions.
The Playhouse Project Master Class, open to all local music students, is offered to participants free of charge. We encourage parents, families, teachers, members of the public, and schoolmates to attend the Master Class sessions as our guests. Refreshments will be served.
