The Swiss Global Artistic Foundation Announces the Formation of the Swiss Global Virtuoso Orchestra
As further example of the Foundation's commitment to foster emerging talent, Swiss Global Artistic Foundation is pleased to announce the formation of the Swiss Global Virtuoso Orchestra (SGVO). The Orchestra, based in Switzerland but comprised of international young professionals, will play a significant role in the musical activities of the Foundation, throughout Switzerland and globally.
The Swiss Global Virtuoso Orchestra will have between forty and fifty members at any one time, extending to a full symphonic orchestral size as required. The opportunity to join will be open to exceptionally talented, emerging professional musicians from all over the world to include those who are living, studying or working in Switzerland.
Collaborations with musicians from major professional orchestras are also planned. A host of SGVO activities, from masterclasses and performances which will range from working with a variety of internationally recognised leading musicians, conductors and composers of our time, to providing Swiss Global Artistic Foundation's roster of artists experience and exposure on a global stage, will be incorporated into the Swiss Global Virtuoso Orchestra's annual season.
The Swiss Global Virtuoso Orchestra will be under the leadership of Wilson Hermanto. The Orchestra’s season will begin with a performance on the 5th of October. Full details will be available via the website shortly.
