The Bohemians Movie
The Bohemians is a feature film—an avant-garde adaptation of Puccini’s masterpiece La Bohème, set in present day Brooklyn. It is presently in post-production, and since the singers are emerging artists of high caliber, Arts Global is pleased to support the film's endeavor to raise the final funds it needs to bring the film to general release.

Soukhovetski Stars in Stravinsky Masterpiece
Arts Global Young Artist and co-President of the Russian Friends of Arts Global Konstantin Soukhovetski piano served as actor and narrator of a special presentation of Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat on 17 December in the showroom of the M Building in Miami, FL. The signature event featured dancing and a chamber ensemble, accompanied by gourmet appetizers and chocolates.

Concert for Hurricane Sandy in Washington, DC
Arts Global returned to Washington, DC on 11 December for a fundraising event for those affected by Hurricane Sandy. The event was in collaboration with the Australian Embassy in the United States and presented two Australian artists supported by Arts Global. The concert was the second in a two-part series of Australian Embassy events that featured Arts Global artists, the first taking place in October.
Hosted by Ambassador Beazley (pictured right), the concert featured Kellie Rode musical theater, Jeremy Chan piano, and Consul General Mauro Koloboranco as Master of Ceremonies.
Pierrot Lunaire with Julia Migenes
On Friday and Saturday, 16 and 17 November, the Arts Global Chamber Ensemble performed Arnold Schoenberg's haunting masterpiece Pierrot Lunaire with the renowned American mezzo-soprano Julia Migenes. The performances took place at La Chaux-de-Fonds, birthplace of the architect Le Corbusier. Please click here to watch the YouTube video of the event.
The concerts mark the 100th anniversary of the composition of Pierrot Lunaire, now revered as one of the defining works of musical Expressionism.
Julia Migenes first sang on Broadway before building a stellar career with the New York Metropolitan Opera and making unforgettable appearances in Geneva in Béjart's production of Salomé.

Tenebrae Performance in Princeton, NJ
The elite British professional choir, Tenebrae, performed in Princeton, NJ on 8 November at the Princeton Chapel.
Heather de Haes, a Patron of the Choir, hosted VIP guests at the event and post-concert reception.

Arts Global Violinist Wins International Competition
The Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition, in Hannover, Germany has been won by Alexandra Conunova-Dumortier violin, a rostered artist with Arts Global. Ms Conunova will receive the top prize of €50,000, a three-year loan of a violin made by the Italian luthier Guadagnini as well as the opportunity to record a disc for the Naxos label. She also has won a number of debut recitals and performances with internationally recognised orchestras and ensembles.
The triennial competition was held for the eighth time this year - taking place over five rounds in two weeks. The Semi-Finals included the performance of a Mozart violin concerto with the Munich Chamber Orchestra, and in the Finals, six competitors performed a solo violin concerto with the NDR Radiophilharmonie conducted by Hannu Lintu.

Korean-American Cello Prodigy Joins Roster
Arts Global proudly welcomes the newest member of its renowned classical roster -- Jonah Kim cello. Born in South Korea, Mr Kim emigrated to the United States at the age of seven, and began cello lessons that same year. He graduated from the Curtis Institute at the impressive age of seventeen, and since has performed with top orchestras and ensembles and as soloist throughout the world.

Arts Global Jazz Festival
The Foundation was pleased to co-host a Summer Jazz Festival on 22 September, featuring world-renowned jazz musicians alongside young, emerging artists. Kate Baker, vocalist and Jazz Advisor to the Foundation, managed the event.
Arts Global’s mission in this festival remains to benefit artists while providing significant cultural experiences. Beginning with classical musicians, the Foundation has expanded its scope and now includes jazz talents as well as musical theater performers.

Foundation Young Artist Opens Miami Symphony Season
Arts Global Young Artist Konstantin Soukhovetski piano (also co-President of Russian Friends of Arts Global) opened the 2012-2013 season of the Miami Symphony Orchestra on 21 October, performing the magnificent Piano Concerto No.3 of Rachmaninov. Seeking to foster performance opportunities at the highest levels of artistic achievement, the Foundation has sponsored his participation in the concert.
Mr Soukhovetski has won over 15 major awards, and has performed on radio and television, and at festivals throughout the world.
Rousseau in the Sing-Akademie
Arts Global was proud to sponsor an academic program entitled Rousseau in the Sing-Akademie which took place at the Humboldt-University, Berlin, 20-22 September 2012.

Debut of Arts Global Chamber Ensemble Debut
The Foundation was delighted to present the newly-formed Arts Global Chamber Ensemble, which performed its debut concerts in Lausanne and Geneva under the name Swiss Global Chamber Ensemble.
The performances took place on 14 September in the majestic Salon Sandoz of the Beau Rivage Hotel in Lausanne, and 15 September in the historic Théâtre Les Salons in Geneva.
The programme featured works by Chausson and Schumann, and showcased some of the finest young musicians in Europe (pictured left to right): Martina Filjak piano, Alexandra Conunova violin, François Sochard violin, Marc Daniel van Biemen violin, Blythe Teh Engstroem viola and Sébastien van Kuijk cello.

Success for L'OIG in Switzerland
L'Orchestre International de Genève, in partnership with SGAF, the Swiss Branch of Arts Global Foundation, participated in the Concerto Night at Saint-Ursanne International Piano Festival on 10 August. The programme offered the opportunity to promote two Laureates of the Foundation, the Croatian pianist Martina Filjak and the Moldavian violinist Alexandra Conunova. At the completion of the two concerts, which had sold out five months in advance, the artists enjoyed a standing ovation.
Two days later, a matinee concert, with the same program and musicians, took place at the Conservatory in Geneva. The audience of over 300 people was very impressed by the quality of the orchestra as well as by the virtuosity and sensibility of the Arts Global soloists.
Arts Global Emerging Artists Perform with L'OIG in Geneva, 12 August
Arts Global and its partner, L'Orchestre International de Genève, performed a Sunday morning concert at the Geneva Conservatoire de Musique on 12 August.
Two of the Foundation's Swiss-based Emerging Artists, Martina Filjak piano and Alexandra Conunova violin, appeared as soloists in Mendelssohn's delightful Concerto for Piano, Violin and Strings. The concert, conducted by Nicolas Farine, commenced at 11:00 am with Dvorak's lilting Serenade for Strings.

Mumbai next January!
As part of its Cultural Diplomacy programme, linking people and cultures around the world through the medium of exciting events and performances, Arts Global will travel to Mumbai, India for concerts in January 2013.

"Siudy: Between Worlds" sells out in Miami and receives a rave review
Arts Global, incorporating the Swiss Global Artistic Foundation, launched its new name with aplomb as it co-presented Siudy: Between Worlds at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida, in a sold-out performance on Saturday 23 June. Two further performances followed on Sunday, 24 June.

"Between Worlds" performances in Miami on June 23 and 24
The Foundation co-presented three exciting staged performances of flamenco dancing underscored by heart-pounding, cross-cultural percussion.
Award-winning Venezuelan director Pablo Croce—Consultant to Arts Global on Film and Creative Events—and his wife Siudy were pleased to collaborate with Arts Global on Between Worlds, A Flamenco Fantasia.

Tenebrae Makes Fauré Recording in London
Swiss Global was proud to support the British professional choir Tenebrae in its recent recording of the Fauré Requiem. The live concert recording took place 7 May at St Giles Church, Cripplegate, in London, under the direction of Tenebrae's founder Nigel Short (pictured center).
Heather de Haes is Patron of the Choir, and has supported several New York performances.

Three Renowned Financial and Legal Professionals Join USA Board of Directors
We are delighted to the appointment of three members to the USA Board of Directors of the Swiss Global Artistic Foundation. The expertise brought to us will assist the Foundation to develop into the next phase of its exciting growth.
John Habib (pictured left) is the President and Chief Legal Counsel for M.E.N.A. Bridge Advisors.
David Munoz (center) is a Managing Director and the Global Head of Credit Strategy for BlackRock's Fixed Income Division and for the R3 Fund, which invests in absolute return based research and trade ideas across asset classes.
Dez Desai (right) is a Director and the Head Trader of Credit Strategies, and has been the Lead Portfolio Manager for the U.S. Event Driven portfolio since May 2008.

At the Australian Embassy in March
Swiss Global was on hand at the Australian Embassy in Washington DC in March, where Australian-Taiwanese violinist Ray Chen performed as part of the Embassy Series. The Foundation collaborated in the production of this concert, which featured a unique musical experience followed by a reception where audience members were encouraged to meet the performers.
The Embassy Series extends public access to the embassies in the national capital, and offers its audience the opportunity to participate in a cultural exchange - to watch and listen to a musical performance that highlights the contributions of a particular country.
L'OIG Perform in New York in March
In celebration of the 300th anniversary of composer and writer Jean-Jacques Rousseau and the 250th Anniversary of diplomat Albert Gallatin, both Geneva-born, the City of Geneva invited the soloists of the Geneva International Orchestra (L'OIG) to perform in New York. The concert took place Saturday 10 March at the famed Merkin Concert Hall in Lincoln Center, and featured works of Brahms, Liszt, Ravel and Mendelssohn among others. L'OIG is the official orchestra of Swiss Global.

Young Metropolitan Opera Singer Joins Roster
Swiss Global announces the addition of Alexander Lewis tenor to its roster of distinguished Young Artists. Originally from Australia, Mr Lewis is now based in New York, where he is a member of the Lindemann Young Artist Program at the Metropolitan Opera.
Winter Concert at the Beau-Rivage Palace
The Swiss Global Artistic Foundation was pleased to present a winter concert of Young Artists on 17 February in Lausanne. The Foundation returned to the opulent Salle Sandoz of the Beau-Rivage Palace Hotel for an unforgettable evening of musical performance, featuring works of Debussy, Poulenc and Rachmaninoff among others. Artists included Elizabeth Bailey soprano, Loïc Schneider flute and the Trio Ernest Chausson.

Contemporary & Jazz Division Continues to Expand
Since its inception, Swiss Global seeks to benefit artists while providing significant cultural experiences. Beginning with classical musicians, the Foundation has expanded its scope and now includes jazz talents as well as musical theater performers.
As part of the Foundation’s expansion of its newly formed Contemporary & Jazz Division, we are proud to announce the addition of the youngest Young Artist to our roster – Amanda Barise jazz voice. At the age of 13, she has performed throughout New York and has appeared on nationally televised sports events.

Exceptional Artist Joins Roster
The Foundation is pleased to announce the recent addition of Sabina Rakcheyeva violin to its distinguished roster of Young Artists.
Ms Rakcheyeva, the first Azerbaijani musician affiliated with Swiss Global, is also the first Azerbaijani to be accepted to the Juilliard School in New York. She appeared as a soloist with orchestras in Azerbaijan, Europe and the United States, performed in more than forty countries and was featured on BBC, CNN, Voice of America Radio and US government television.

Young Artist Joins Staff
Swiss Global Young Artist Konstantin Soukhovetski piano joins the Foundation Development Team this month. Based in New York, the Russian pianist will assist Briana Lesesne in the London office with the management of Russian Friends of Swiss Global, a newly-formed circle.

Middle Eastern Friends of the Swiss Global Artistic Foundation
The Foundation is delighted to announce the upcoming launch of its newly forming circle: The Middle Eastern Friends of the Swiss Global Artistic Foundation. Swiss Global is expanding to certain countries of the Middle East beginning in January 2012. We welcome John Habib (President and General Counsel, United Arab Emirates) and Talal Karami (President, Qatar) to the Foundation Staff.
