Last night I attended an event promoted by the American Australian Association in partnership with the Swiss Global Artistic Foundation - a New York debut performance by Tenebrae.
It is a true example of global Australians and Victorians excelling in so many spheres.
Greeting me as I arrived at the event was the energetic Australian Heather de Haes, the Founder and Director of the Swiss Global Artistic Foundation and Chairman of the Australian Music Foundation, London.
The Artistic Director of the Swiss Global Artistic Foundation, Geoffrey Simon, grew up in East Ivanhoe in the suburbs of Melbourne. Geoffrey was a student of Herbert von Karajan, Rudolf Kempe, Hans Swarowsky and Igor Markevich.
The production manager was a Melburnian too.
