Benoit Savoret was trained in civil engineering at the École Centrale de Paris, having excelled at math and physics in his youth. A short service in the French Navy was accompanied by specialization in economy and finance at the Institute of Politic Sciences of Paris. These skills were further refined while a trainee at Rothchild and CIE Bank.
From 1990 to 1997 Mr Savoret worked for Société Général, one of the most important financial service organisations in Europe. Over that 7-year period he lived in Paris, Philadelphia, London, Tokyo and Hong Kong, as a derivatives specialist.
In 1997 Mr Savoret joined Lehman Brothers in London as an Executive Director, and by 2000 he became a Managing Director and CEO of Asia Equities in Tokyo. As Lehman moved to #1 on the London Stock Exchange over the subsequent years, he became sole head of European Equities. His last position was COO for Europe and the Middle-East, member of the firm Executive Committee.
Currently, Mr Savoret is consultant to the Dean of École Centrale de Paris, and is a member of the Strategic Advisory and Fundraising committees. He lives in the United Kingdom with his spouse and four children.
