Frank Lévy was born in Tangiers and brought up in Switzerland, where he studied piano and conducting at the Geneva Conservatory.

He is known especially for his interpretation of Schubert and Brahms, although his performances of the great piano concertos by Liszt, Chopin and Beethoven in Europe, the USA and South America have invariably been acclaimed with enthusiasm by his audiences.

He is a member of the faculty of the Juilliard School.
