The Swiss-born philanthropist Mark T. Schnebli is currently Director of both the Galatea Foundation, a private fund for support of the arts, and The Living Land Company, which organizes an annual artistic festival in Laos. These posts follow an impressive 12-year tenure as Director of the Hayward Foundation in London.
A board member of the Royal Albert Hall and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Mr Schnebli is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and the Royal Geographic Society, and a Member of the Foundations Forum and the Scientific Exploration Society in London. He recently stepped down after serving three years as Chairman of the Swiss Cultural Fund in Britain, and as a Member of the Executive Committee of the Darwin Wing for the Natural History Museum.
Mr Schnebli is a 25-year veteran in the field of commerce and industry, having served positions in Manila and Bangkok. He is a former Chief Executive Officer of Grundy International, and a former Managing Director at Rio Tinto aluminum processing.
Mr Schnebli was educated in France, England, and Switzerland, with studies focusing on economics.
