Mr Bovet, a leading international investment advisor, who is chairman, or director of a number of major global financial institutions, after beginning his career in finance in several senior banking management posts, was educated in the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United States. He has Swiss and United States citzenships and residences in both countries. Keenly interested in the arts, and an enthusiastic contemporary art collector, he has also been noted in recent years for the painstaking restoration of the Château de Vullierens, his historic home overlooking Lake Geneva, Switzerland, to its full 18th century glory, and the extension and development of its magnificent iris gardens, founded by his mother, into one of the world's finest display settings of this iconic floral species.
