In what has become a tradition with Swiss Global, this month featured the annual Soirée at Christie’s. The world-renowned auction house opened its Great Rooms to an elegant evening of vocal and instrumental works, including varied scenes from operas and a flute sonata of Poulenc. The musical programme was augmented by the gifted British jazz pianist and composer Gwilym Simcock, who performed a work of his own composition as well as accompany the singers. The oversold event preceded the esteemed Old Masters’ Sale.
