This year sees the 60th anniversary of India’s accession to independence as a republic. A series of events are being held to celebrate the date.
India has forged close cultural and historic links with the United Kingdom over the centuries and Michael Green, Public Relations Advisor to the Swiss Global Artistic Foundation, and an authority on Indian art and history, was recently interviewed by Meridian TV in the East Sussex coastal resort of Bexhill-on-Sea, where many buildings still bear witness to the epoque of the Raj.
Here Mr Green is seen during a recording session for the programme.
